Retails Solutions at the NEC - A review
This year saw the 25th Anniversary of the Retail Solutions show, and due to the celebratory nature of the event, between 5,000 and 6,000 visitors were expected to attend the show over the 3 exhibition days.
Prior to the opening of the Show, there was the usual flurry of activity in setting up of the stands, with each exhibitor trying to outdo their neighbours with the latest technology and the most appealing stand. Of course, the XKS stand was the most appealing by far!
Prospective business partners, prospective clients, and co-exhibitors all appeared to have enjoyed their time at the Show with plenty of relevant information exchanging hands in a bid to win new business and / or business partnerships.
XKS' polling solution XPOLL, with its new Credit and Debit card module, generated considerable interest with our Java development services running a close second. As well as making new friends, we were able to demonstrate how XKS continues to offer the latest technology when providing business solutions.
As well as the exhibition stands there were some excellent talks and seminars in each of the theatres - all of which attracted a good audience.
The sponsors of the show laid on an elaborate BBQ and drinks evening, giving all exhibitors an opportunity to mix with one another, as well as a glimpse of the nice weather they'd been missing whilst inside the Show!
The show ended in total chaos, with all exhibitors rapidly dismantling their stands, hurriedly packing up their cars and vans, and attempting to escape the NEC.
